Magnetic Shield Kits for THIN-LINE™ Encoders
Some applications require protection from magnetic fields from DC direct-acting brakes or other magnetic sources.
THIN-LINE encoders have internal electronic protection against common magnetic fields, but extremely high fields can produce signal errors (indicated by a red LED on the encoder).
Super magnetic shielding option 005 for THIN-LINE encoders includes this shielding bundled with the encoder for maximum protection. But for applications where an encoder is already in-place, the AVSK shield kit can be retrofitted to the existing encoder installation, providing magnetic shield protection to the AV56A, AV67A, AV85A and AV115 models.
